A project for PROD 323 at SCAD
I chose to redesign Ola Nyman. I wanted to create a story with her that went along with her character arc of discovering her sexuality. She keeps a very androgenous silhouette throughout the show but her color story changes to embrace more bright and feminine colors as she embraces her sexuality more. in opposition to her more feminine colors she buzzes her hair between seasons 2 and 3 in order to hold more of a balance between her feminine and masculine energies
The other character I redesigned was Jean Milburn. I envisioned her goal to be giving off a sense of comfort in all her clothing, both comfort for herself and for the people around her. She is in a lot of flowy and light fabrics. Her style sensibilities change in the third season as she is dealing with her pregnancy and her ideals change from presenting a sense of comfort to those around her to be dressing for her own personal comfort
I created tech flats for each characters signature item as well. Jean's being her cardigan and Ola's being the cargo pants.
